🎉Please join us in welcoming Jon Katterson to the Wormald Commercial Construction team as our newest Construction Manager!🎉

With more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Jon brings a strong background in renovations, civil work, and restaurant construction. He prides himself on strong communication and problem-solving skills—and when asked what he brings to the team, he also made sure to mention that he’s pretty charming. We’ll let everyone else be the judge of that!

Jon will be supporting renovation projects throughout Loudoun County and is excited to join Wormald because of the company’s strong culture and reputation.

When he’s not on the job, you’ll likely find Jon golfing or hiking. Fun fact: he graduated high school overseas!

We wanted to share an update about our new building and give everyone a glimpse at the future of Bakehouse. We’ve been working hard over the last few months finalizing our plans and we’re happy to announce we’ve received HPC approval. We still have a lot of work to do before we can get started but this is a big milestone to achieve.

We could not be more excited with our plans for the building, especially the outdoor space! We’ll share some interior images in the near future. We hesitate to give an exact timeline for when we’ll be open but we think spring/summer 2027 is a safe estimate. (Fingers crossed we don’t hit any major issues)

As you may know the building has been vacant for years and needs just about everything to updated or upgraded, so these things take time. We’re just taking it day by day and looking forward to the future of Bakehouse!

We’ve had great partners helping navigate what is a very daunting process. So we want to say a big thanks to Bates Architects LLC Wormald Commercial and Fox & Associates for getting us this far in the process.

We're honored and grateful to be recognized by the Frederick County Building Industry Association with the Best Commercial Remodel/Renovation Award - Build & Design Division for our work on Calvary Church in Walkersville, MD.
This project was a true team effort-from our trade partners and suppliers to the entire Wormald team and our amazing client. Thank you for trusting us to bring your vision to life.
We love what we build. And we love building for our community.

⚾🏗️ A Grand Slam Against Hunger! 🏗️⚾

We’re proud of our team and project partners for their hard work and creativity at this year’s Canstruction Frederick event!

Together, we built “Frederick is Key to Striking Out Hunger,” a replica of Harry Grove Stadium made from 8,899 donated cans to support the Frederick Rescue Mission.

Thanks to the incredible effort of everyone involved, our display earned:

🏆 Best Original Design Award
