Old asphalt driveway gone and replaced with a bigger concrete driveway for more parking space…

Simple enough, right? 😂

Then the City of Raleigh said:
“Perfect timing… we’re paving the entire subdivision this week too.”

So between permits, inspections, rescheduling, weather, city crews, and trying not to lose our minds, this project became a full team sport.

At one point we weren’t sure if we were building a driveway or competing in a construction survival show 😅

BUT — we got it done, and it turned out beautiful.

This customer contacted us for a full property regrade and complete sod installation for both the front and back yard. The project also included culvert pipe and rip rap installation on both sides of the driveway to improve drainage, prevent erosion, and protect the property long-term.

From start to finish, our team focused on proper grading, clean finish work, and creating a healthy foundation for the new lawn to thrive. The final result completely transformed the appearance and functionality of the property — and most importantly, the customer was 100% satisfied with the entire process.

A week later, the customer reached back out to have us return for another phase of the project: a brand-new retaining wall installation alongside the driveway to help control erosion and washouts even further. The retaining wall will also create a clean landscape border for future plants and decorative design upgrades.

This project began with a front porch that had cracked, loose, and failing tile caused by moisture and movement underneath. Several areas were unsafe and separating from the concrete base.

Work Completed:
• Removed all damaged tile and mortar
• Demoed down to a solid concrete base
• Repaired and re-leveled uneven sections
• Installed existing decorative mosaic tile
• Applied fresh grout and detailed edges
• Ensured proper slope and safe transitions

After reviewing multiple solutions, we agreed on a precise grinding process to correct the raised areas, followed by a full power wash of the entire pad—approximately 1,200 sq. ft.

The result is a smooth, level, and refreshed concrete surface, now safe and ready for both kids and adults to enjoy basketball and outdoor activities this year.
