We have exciting news!!

All the members present at the Franklin Gardeners Association meeting last week took a vote. We decided to move our annual fundraiser - May Garden Mart in Franklin's Fountain Park - from the first full weekend of May to the third full weekend in May.

Several members of our MGM committee spoke with our vendors and volunteers at the last event about the possibility of moving the dates of the event back two weeks. The overwhelming majority of those surveyed preferred the weekend between Mother's Day and Memorial Day, citing the greater possibility of more favorable weather. That is very important, as the majority of our vendors have a huge amount of temperature-sensitive plants in their inventory and displayed within the park during our event. Freezing temps are not their friend!

So... May Garden Mart will be held in the future on the third full weekend each May from this point forward.

For 2027, May Garden Mart will be held on Saturday, May 15th, and Sunday, May 16th. Mark your calendars and we look forward to seeing you next year!

Please note that Susie Blair is the president of the Franklin Gardeners Association. Cathy Volk is a member and serves as the chairperson for May Garden Mart, along with a committee of additional FGA members. This is Cathy’s second year as chairperson for the annual May Garden Mart event, which serves as the fundraiser for the Franklin Gardeners Association.
We truly appreciate our wonderful volunteers, our vendors, the city of Franklin and the support of our community!

After a snowy, rain-soaked Saturday, Sunday has turned into a perfect day to browse at the Franklin Gardeners Association May Garden Mart. 🌺 🌼

Fountain Park is buzzing with people picking out additions for their spring gardens. There’s still plenty of time to stop to May Mart. Vendors will be open until 4pm. Come on down to the park and shop local. 🌼
