WE’RE HIRING FOR CHRISTMAS LIGHT SEASON! 🎄

The Jet Vet is looking to add a few people to our Christmas light installation crews this season.

📅 Season: October 1 through approximately December 10
⏰ Typically 10–12 hour days, 6 days per week

This is a short, BUSY season and a great opportunity for someone who wants to work hard and make some good money before Christmas.

The job involves installing Christmas lights on residential and commercial properties throughout Central Indiana. You’ll be working on ladders and roofs regularly, so you MUST be comfortable working at heights.

Roofing, construction, exterior service, or ladder experience is definitely a plus, but not required. We can train the right person.

What we care about most is finding people who:
🎄 Show up and are dependable
🎄 Aren’t afraid of long days and hard work
🎄 Are comfortable on ladders and roofs
🎄 Can work well with a crew
🎄 Are available consistently throughout the season

💰 Competitive hourly pay based on experience
📍 Based in Johnson County, working throughout Central Indiana

A great way to spend an afternoon giving back to our community. ❤️

Last Thursday, a few members of The Jet Vet team traded pressure washers for fruit, veggies, and yogurt and spent the afternoon at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana making fresh snacks for families staying at the House.

Together, we made:

🥕 109 veggie cups
🥣 26 yogurt parfaits
🍓 15 fruit cups

That’s 150 fresh snacks for families spending their days at the hospital and their nights at the House.

A huge thank you to Taylor Ogden for organizing everything and using a $200 Do Good Grant through Modern Woodmen of America to purchase all of the supplies.

Thomas Whitaker and Caleb Rigg from The Jet Vet joined us, along with Beau Jackson, and Collin and Kegan from Modern Woodmen.

We’re proud to have a team willing to give up an afternoon to help out. It doesn’t always take something huge to make a difference—sometimes it’s just a few people showing up and doing what they can to make someone else’s day a little easier.

Sometimes clean and stain-free are two different things. 👀

We recently cleaned the limestone on this monument, and while the initial cleaning removed years of organic buildup, some deep staining remained in the stone.

Instead of getting more aggressive with pressure and risking damage to the limestone, we came back with a specialty restoration treatment designed to attack the remaining stains.

The result? A huge improvement without unnecessarily blasting the stone.

Not every stain in natural stone can be completely removed, but knowing when to change the chemistry instead of increasing the pressure can make all the difference.

Pretty happy with this one. 🔥

“Why is there still stuff on the roof after you cleaned it?”

This is a perfect example of what can happen after a roof wash.

That white/light-tan area you see is dead algae left behind after the cleaning solution did its job.

When we soft wash a roof, we’re not using high pressure to blast everything off the shingles. The solution kills the organic growth, and then rain and weather gradually wash away what remains.

Sometimes a roof looks dramatically better immediately. Other times, especially where there was heavier growth, you’ll still see dead material hanging around for a while.

Could we use pressure to make it disappear immediately? Sure.

But getting the perfect “after” picture isn’t worth potentially damaging someone’s roof.

Kill the growth. Protect the shingles. Let Mother Nature finish the cleanup. 🏠💦

Great review from Andy... "Can't say enough good things about this company. They came out to clean our gutters only to find that the gutters and roof edge were not installed properly. Gutters were mostly under the roof edge and not accepting the rainoff. They showed us photos of the problem, recommended a company to fix the problem and never charged us for the trip.. Very courteous, professional , and helpful. After we get the gutters repaired we will be calling them back out when they require cleaning. We found the best gutter folks in the business!"
