Another round of severe weather is in the forecast, and we’re hoping it turns out to be a bust. We’re still responding to damage from the last storm and know many homeowners are ready for a break.

If severe weather does impact your property, stay clear of damaged trees, hanging limbs, and downed power lines. Once it is safe, contact us and we’ll get someone out as quickly as possible.

We've seen a noticeable increase in fire blight this season, particularly on crabapples, pears, hawthorns, and other members of the rose family. Many homeowners are noticing blackened leaves, wilted shoots, and branch tips that appear scorched or burned.

This bacterial disease has been favored by this spring's weather conditions and is appearing throughout the region. While the symptoms can be alarming, fire blight is a common issue and is not necessarily the result of anything a homeowner did or did not do.

For customers enrolled in disease management programs, some fire blight symptoms can resemble diseases you've encountered in previous years. Fire blight is caused by a different pathogen and requires different management strategies.

Yesterday, one of our crews completed the removal of a large American Elm for the Village of Frankfort.

The tree had begun to decline and was causing extensive damage to the sidewalk. Through careful planning, teamwork, and a commitment to safety, the crew successfully completed the removal and cleanup.
