Amazing visit to Cranbourne Botanical Garden in Melbourne, Australia - all plants on the property are indigenous to Australia - fascinating to see how many have been imported and are commonly used in our own gardens and containers in the states - 10% of the worlds plant species are found in Australia nearly 25,000 species - and 80% of those are endemic - meaning they are found no where else in earth - crazy! I realize this is very “plant-nerdy” - but I still find it fascinating! The photo of me beside the tree with the white bark - it was almost 90 degrees - but the tree was positively cool to the touch. The encouraged us to “ hug” it! 🤗 Great visit!
