🏡 Another beautiful custom farmhouse taking shape, and we're honored to be part of it.

This project marks the 10th custom home we've completed with this customer. In today's world, that kind of relationship means something.

When a builder or homeowner trusts you with one project, you're grateful. When they trust you with ten, it says everything about reliability, consistency, and showing up when you say you will.

At Family Tree HVAC, we believe good business is still built the old-fashioned way—through hard work, honest communication, and doing what you said you were going to do. No shortcuts. No excuses.

We're thankful for customers who continue to put their trust in us year after year, home after home. It's partnerships like these that have helped us grow, and we don't take that responsibility lightly.

Thank you for allowing Family Tree HVAC to be part of another beautiful Kentucky farmhouse. We're looking forward to many more projects together.

💧 Contractor Tip From Family Tree HVAC 💧
One of the most common summertime service calls we run is a clogged condensate drain line.
Your air conditioner removes humidity from your home, and that water has to go somewhere. Over time, algae, dirt, and debris can build up inside the drain line until it plugs completely. When that happens, water can back up into your system, overflow into your home, or shut your air conditioner down altogether.
A simple way to help prevent this:
✅ Locate your drain line termination outside your home.
✅ Periodically use a shop vacuum to pull debris from the line.
✅ Check that water is flowing freely during hot weather.
✅ Don't wait until water is overflowing or your thermostat goes blank.
A few minutes of preventative maintenance can save you the cost and inconvenience of an emergency service call.
At Family Tree HVAC, we believe informed homeowners make better decisions. That's why we're always happy to share simple maintenance tips that can help keep your system running all summer long.
No salesmen. No gimmicks. Just honest HVAC advice from your local technicians.

"Why does my air conditioner keep tripping the breaker?"

One of the most common answers is a grounded compressor.

In this video, we're testing the compressor for a path to ground. When the internal windings of a compressor break down and make contact with the compressor shell, electricity takes a shortcut to ground instead of flowing where it's supposed to. The result? A breaker that repeatedly trips to protect your home and equipment.

The important thing is understanding why the breaker is tripping—not just resetting it and hoping for the best.

At Family Tree HVAC, we perform in-depth electrical diagnostics to find the root cause of failures. We don't believe in guessing, changing parts unnecessarily, or trying the "cheap fix" first. We test, verify, and explain exactly what's happening with your system.
If your air conditioner keeps tripping breakers, don't ignore it. Continuing to reset a breaker can lead to further damage and potentially create a safety hazard.

No salesmen. No pushy tactics. Just technicians who take the time to diagnose the problem correctly.

🔥 FAMILY TREE HVAC 🔥

We are VERY busy right now during this heat wave, but help is on the way. 🇺🇸❄️

Before calling for no AC, here are 3 simple things that may help us get you cooled off quicker — and might even save you a service call:

1️⃣ CHECK YOUR AIR FILTERA dirty filter can restrict airflow and cause your system to freeze up. Stay on top of your filter schedule, especially during heavy summer use.

2️⃣ LOOK FOR ICE ON THE OUTDOOR UNITIf you see ice buildup, turn your thermostat to OFF and switch the FAN to ON. Let the system thaw completely before calling. Running it while frozen can cause bigger problems.

3️⃣ THERMOSTAT BLANK? CHECK YOUR DRAIN LINEA clogged condensate drain can trip a safety switch and shut the system down. Find the drain line outside your home and try shop-vac’ing it out for a few minutes.

We’re working long hours to take care of everybody as quickly as possible. Thank you all for supporting local, family-owned HVAC companies. 🇺🇸🌳
