The boil water advisory for the Akersville area has been lifted.

04/16/2025

Boil Water Advisory has been issued for All FRWD Customers in the Akersville area. This includes all customers on 87 South of Barren River Bridge. Also includes customers on County Line Rd., Bugtussle Rd., McDonald Rd., and Scott Rd. Customers should bring the water to a rolling boil for at least 3 minutes. The boil water advisory will continue until after sample results come back.

We will be taking our tanks offline starting April 21st for maintenance. The pressure in Akersville be approximately 30 psi lower than normal. We expect the work to be completed in about a month but could take longer. We are doing a trial run today to make sure that we are gonna be able to maintain pressure without the tanks.

Residents.
The Fountain Run Water District are asking you to help conserve water during this time of extreme temperatures. Please do not use any appliances that require water.
We also ask that you shut off all water in the home and go out to the meter to confirm that the meter is still not turning. If it is, this could indicate a leak. If you have a leak please turn off the meter. If you cannot turn off the meter contact Chris Veach- 270-407-9376 or Kenneth Jackson 270-407-9377 and we will come out and temporarily turn off the meter.
