Another couple jobs knocked out today by Clayton’s Water Well Pump Service.
Our first call was a well that was on its third pump, and this was our first time working on it. After checking everything over, we found the pump was way oversized for the well, causing it to constantly overwork and burn up. Proper pump sizing is a huge part of making sure your well system runs correctly and helps you get the lifespan out of your pump that you should.
The second job was an old hand-dug well that had a punched well installed down the center after the original well dried up. This one turned into a pump change with a little extra work involved. The pump was stuck from corrosion, and the well seal had broken bolts, so we had to cut the steel casing to safely pull the pump.

We appreciate your patience as we haven’t been as active on Facebook recently — it’s because we’ve been hard at work serving our customers in the field.
Today alone, we completed the installation of a new tank system, including a 1HP 15 GPM pump paired with an 86-gallon tank. We’ve also been busy installing pumps for pond systems and handling a variety of well service needs across the area.

Hey everyone, Tristin with Clayton’s Water Well here! We’re sorry we haven’t been posting as much lately—we’ve been extremely busy, and we’re truly grateful for all of our loyal customers and future customers.

Hello everyone, Tristin with Clayton’s Water Well Pump Service and Repair here! 👋
We’re expecting extremely cold temperatures this weekend, with single-digit lows in some areas, so we wanted to share a few reminders to help prevent your well system from freezing ❄️⬇️
🔧 Cold Weather Tips:
Make sure your rock cover or well house is sealed to keep cold wind out
Wrap all exposed pipes
If possible, run a light in the well house for warmth (⚠️ do not use LED bulbs — they do not produce heat)
Leave your faucets dripping, or even better, a slow steady stream 🚿
🚨 If your well system does freeze:
The best thing you can do is turn the power off at the well breaker and wait until temperatures rise above freezing before turning it back on.

Sorry we didn’t get many pictures today, but it was a productive one! 📸💪
We started the morning by raising a well casing above ground level to help prevent rain and surface water from entering the well system 🌧️🚫💧. After that, we replaced a 3/4 HP pump ⚙️🔧 and finished the day by changing a filter for one of our long-time customers 👋🔄.

Today at Clayton’s Water Well we ran a new power line from the tank to the well after finding a broken leg in the wire. The pump was only getting 115 volts, which wasn’t enough to run it properly.
We trenched in a new line, cut and patched the asphalt driveway, and also installed a pipe under the driveway so if this ever happens again, the driveway won’t have to be cut.

💧 Busy Day at Clayton’s Water Well! 💧
Today was a full one for our crew at Clayton’s Water Well Pump Service and Repair. We started the morning by pulling and replacing a pump that was set 560 feet deep, along with wiring that had been incorrectly sized for the pump. The undersized wire caused ongoing issues and ultimately led to pump failure after 6 years (this was not an original install by us).
Next, we were called out to repair a well that had been run over earlier this morning, breaking the casing nearly 5 feet below ground. We were able to reconnect the pump, install a new section of casing, and get the water line hooked back up properly.
To wrap up the day, we headed out to investigate a low water pressure issue for another customer.
