Employee Spotlight: Jake Wiggins
After graduating from Texas Tech, Jake spent time working in the family business designing irrigation systems. He was originally hired by Vision as an assistant superintendent, but after the summer rush was over, we’d seen a skillset that fit perfectly with our preconstruction needs. Jake excelled immediately at juggling multiple tasks and quickly became our go-to schedule architect and proved to be proficient at all things technology related. Today, Jake’s official title is Junior Estimator. He’s a fixture in our procon department and a value member of our team! Help us celebrate Jake by sending him well wishes!

Misconception: Delays automatically mean the contractor isn't doing their job.
Truth: In construction, weather, inspections, material lead times, and change orders can all impact schedules. A good general contractor isn't one with zero challenges- it's the one that communicates clearly, adjusts quickly, and keeps the project moving forward.
At Vision, we've implemented Lean construction methods to reduce wasted time, materials, and manpower. Through Last Planner boards and daily huddles, our teams are able to identify potential delays earlier in the project, stay productive, and keep the flow of work moving while solutions are being developed. Great construction isn't about building faster- it's about building smarter.
