Designed for Care and Longevity: Bedford Medical Plaza

TMA Architects designed the 11,416 sq. ft. Bedford Medical Plaza at 2008 L Don Dodson Drive in Bedford, Texas, back in 2004. Originally created for an orthopedic surgeon, the building successfully housed three medical practices: the owner’s practice alongside two lease spaces—an additional medical practice tenant and a physical therapy practice featuring a specialized heated indoor therapy pool.

More than 20 years later, the space is still thriving and active. Today, it seamlessly houses a new generation of medical professionals, including two Texas Health orthopedic specialists and a new physical therapy practice.

TMA has decades of experience in healthcare architecture in Texas. We recognize that thoughtfully engineered floor plans allow spaces to easily adapt, upgrade, and transition to new medical tenants decades down the road without major structural overhauls. We pair this expertise with a prioritization of the patient by creating calming, welcoming environments optimized for specialized care, wellness, and healing.

New Historical Renovation on Hemphill Street in Fort Worth

TMA Architects is proud to announce the new renovation of a historical structure on Hemphill Street in Fort Worth. Situated at 2008–2014 Hemphill Street, this 1920s brick multi-family property (20,916 sq. ft.) is a piece of local architectural history. We’re excited to share a new industrial project with Rig Tool Products in Haltom City! TMA Architects is proud to design a new 5,950-square-foot freestanding warehouse expansion to support their continued growth and operations.

For over 25 years, Rig Tool has served the Drilling and Well-Servicing needs of the oil and gas industry. Project Update: New Medical Office Building in Plano is going for permitting and construction will begin soon! 🏗️

TMA architects designed this ground-up two-story, 10,000 SF medical office building in Plano, Texas with a contemporary design per the owner’s request. The layout features comprehensive exam rooms, advanced diagnostic areas for MRIs, CT scans, and mammograms, alongside wellness spaces for massage and infrared saunas. We are honored to partner with both the owner and the City of Plano on this healthcare project and will keep you posted on progress!

Utilizing an existing commercial storefront:

We are excited to announce that Hear Again America’s new offices in Euless, Texas are officially complete and operational! 🦻🇱🇷

For this project, TMA transformed a 1,467-square-foot existing storefront into a fully reformatted space tailored to the client's needs, creating a welcoming reception area, private offices, and specialized, soundproofed rooms for testing and refining hearing aids.

Hemphill Crossing continues to grow

Ten years ago, we were tasked with converting the 32,800-square-foot, one-story brick 'City Center' strip mall into what is now Hemphill Crossing. Our 2016 design focused on re-facing the exterior with vertical cedar wood and stucco, replacing the wide parking lot with dedicated green spaces and walking paths, adding prominent street signage, and installing an overhead canopy structure for shade.

Located at the prominent intersection of Rosedale and Hemphill in the Near Southside of Fort Worth, this retail center serves as a walkable neighborhood hub anchored now by a busy Ace Hardware alongside local favorites like King Tut’s restaurant.

We are proud and thrilled to see the community, shoppers, and neighborhood residents increasingly use this local commercial hub and look forward to watching its continued growth to come!

American Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) in Grand Prairie, Texas

TMA architects has a long history of designing industrial buildings in Texas.

An example of this is a project we completed in 2006 for American Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) in Grand Prairie, Texas. TMA designed 3 large scale industrial buildings, including:

- The Avionics Center: A two-story, 20,357-square-foot facility dedicated to high-tech aviation systems.

- The Delivery Center: A 6,900-square-foot presentation space featuring a large space with 20 ft x 48 ft windows to allow aircraft to move in and out efficiently, creating a practical environment wherein new owners are presented with their helicopters.

- The Training Facility: A 16,169-square-foot education building equipped with classrooms and flight simulation rooms. It features a 40-foot-high training bay with a mezzanine level, giving trainees the spatial access required to inspect all areas of an aircraft.

To unify the entire campus experience, TMA also designed the entryway, which features a custom walkway designed to mirror the lines of an aircraft wing, guiding employees and visitors into the facility.

Remodel for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Cleburne, Texas 🏥 🏗️

TMA architects has completed several remodeling projects for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Cleburne, Texas over the years. These projects have included a 3,723 square foot remodel of a fifth floor primary care practice, a 2,617 square foot remodel of the fifth floor entry way and hallways, pictured below, and a first floor remodel to update the ground floor bathrooms.

Construction is moving along smoothly on our latest sports and entertainment project!

Popular in South America for years, Padel is the fastest-growing racket sport in the U.S.—and it is incredibly social. Learning the nuances of the game in order to optimize the architecture of this space was a fantastic experience for our team!

For this project, a 19,800 sq ft existing commercial building was renovated into a high-end venue designed for community just as much as competition, featuring:
