As the sun rises over our shop and yard, we're reminded that none of this happens without the people who make it possible and the opportunities God continues to provide.

WHAT’S UNDER YOUR TANK?

When you look at a finished API 650 tank, the shell is what gets your attention. But long before the shell goes up, some of the most important work is happening on the bottom.

Proper plate layout, fit-up, welding, and inspection all play a role in creating a tank floor designed to perform for years to come.

And once that tank is completed and placed into service, much of that work is no longer easy to see or access.

That’s why quality has to start before the first shell plate ever goes up.

Foundation Construction. Strength Starts From the Ground Up.

A strong tank starts with a strong foundation. A concrete ring wall foundation provides an effective combination of structural support, stability, and long-term serviceability.

When a tank is full, some of the greatest loads are concentrated around the perimeter where the steel shell meets the bottom. A properly engineered ring wall provides continuous support beneath that shell and helps transfer those loads into the supporting soil.

Better load distribution and better drainage equals a stable foundation for years to come.

Strength Is in the Details.

A welded steel tank requires hundreds, and on larger tanks, thousands, of feet of welding. And when that much welding goes into a structure, every foot matters.

Here, one of our welders is working the round seam, joining shell courses together around the circumference of the tank.

It’s one seam among many, but it’s a good reminder that the strength of a finished tank comes down to the quality of every detail along the way.

From First Ring to Final Coat

From the first ring of steel to the final coat of paint, this project for the City of Roanoke, Texas shows what goes into building long-term water storage from the ground up.

This 2-million-gallon welded steel ground storage tank measures 98' in diameter × 34' high and features a seal-welded flat bar rafter roof.

The drone footage captures the progress as the tank takes shape, ring by ring, all the way through to the finished product.

Another project completed. Another community equipped with reliable water storage built to serve for years to come.
