Safety on a gas job is about being prepared before something goes wrong. 🦺
These photos highlight just a few of the safeguards our TSU One crews use in the field—from readily accessible fire extinguishers and personnel monitoring the work area to gas detectors and appropriate protective equipment.

Together, these precautions help crews remain aware of changing conditions and prepared to respond while critical gas infrastructure work is underway.

Most importantly, our people look out for one another. Everyone on the job site has a role in maintaining a safe working environment and helping ensure the entire crew goes home safely at the end of the day.

How do crews find a gas leak when the line is underground? 🔍

This video takes you through the assessment process used by TSU One crews before the repair begins.

First, surrounding mains and service lines are located to establish what infrastructure is beneath the work area. Crews then create bar holes at multiple locations and measure the concentration of gas present in the soil.

Those readings help narrow down the search area until the suspected source can be pinpointed. Only then can the team move forward with carefully exposing the line, evaluating the problem, and determining the appropriate repair.

It’s a great example of how information and preparation come before excavation—helping our crews protect themselves, existing infrastructure, and the surrounding community.

For Marco Lugo, growth isn’t just about where he can go next—it’s about who he can help along the way.

Marco joined TSU One as a foreman about a year ago and quickly found a culture where his supervisors are available when he needs guidance and where employees willing to work and learn have opportunities to advance.

He hopes to continue into higher leadership roles, build a better future for his family, and eventually mentor others the same way TSU One’s leaders have supported him.

His advice to anyone considering joining the team?
Take a chance on yourself. You have to start somewhere.

🎒 School is back, and so are busy school zones across the communities we serve!
TSU One wishes all of our employees, their families, students, teachers, and neighbors a safe and successful school year.

This photo has an especially fitting connection. Our crews recently completed a priority electric pole replacement near an elementary school in Southlake, helping ensure critical infrastructure was safely transferred and ready to continue serving the surrounding community.

As everyone settles back into their routines, remember to slow down in school zones, watch for buses and pedestrians, and give crews working near roadways plenty of space.

To every student heading back to class: work hard, stay safe, have fun, and make it a great year!

Great leaders understand the work from the ground up.
Please join us in congratulating Richard Huddleston on his promotion to Director of Estimating & Project Management.

Richard started with TSU One more than six years ago as a junior estimator and laborer working alongside a gas crew. Since then, he has helped grow our estimating operations, develop our Project Management department, strengthen our Tulsa operation, and mentor employees across the company.

His journey is a great example of what happens when hard work meets opportunity—and why TSU One believes in developing leaders from within.

Cristian’s recognition reflects an entire quarter of outstanding leadership, accountability, and commitment to safety. By consistently protecting his crew, following established procedures, maintaining strong production, and leading by example, he earned one of the highest recognitions within TSU One.

This achievement is also a proud milestone for our Dallas operation. Having opened just over a year ago, this was only the office’s second eligible quarter for the Extra Mile Award, making this recognition even more meaningful.

The Extra Mile Award represents the culture we continue to build across every TSU One location—a culture where safety comes first, leadership is earned, and great work is recognized.

Behind every growing community is reliable infrastructure—and behind that infrastructure are dedicated people.

These photos showcase TSU One crews who stepped up on their scheduled days off to support one of our utility partners with critical overhead electric improvements.

The projects included installing new double-circuit poles, relocating utility infrastructure for a growing residential subdivision, and retiring aging poles to improve long-term system reliability.

The final portion of this project involved an emergency priority response in Southlake, where crews replaced a damaged utility pole and safely transferred a capacitor bank and transformer located in front of an elementary school. Completing this work efficiently helped maintain reliable electrical service while prioritizing the safety of nearby students, residents, motorists, and our crews.

At TSU One, every project is guided by the same principles: safety, teamwork, quality, and accountability. Whether supporting planned infrastructure upgrades or responding to urgent utility needs, our mission is to deliver dependable solutions that help communities continue to grow.

We’re proud of the commitment our crews demonstrate every day—and especially on the days they choose to step up when they’re needed most.
