Finding the leak comes before fixing the leak. 🔍
When TSU One crews respond to a gas repair, the assessment process begins by locating the mains and service lines in the surrounding area. Knowing what’s underground helps crews understand the work environment before excavation begins.
Crews then create bar holes at multiple locations to measure gas concentrations in the soil. By comparing those readings, they can narrow down the affected area and work toward pinpointing the source of the leak.
Once the location is identified, the crew can carefully expose the line, assess the condition, and determine the appropriate repair.
It’s another example of why precision, preparation, and safety are so important in gas infrastructure work.
