Winter Preparation Reminder
With the first Texas frost on the way
It's a good time to prepare for winter so you are not caught unprepared.
Keep in mind that the supply chain is overburdened and very backlogged. This has already caused many items to have limited availability. This issue is like to intensify as we head into the holidays.
1. Make sure any at risk water outlets and supply lines are protected from freeze.
2. Have your heat unit serviced for optimal operation.
3. Change you ac filter so your unit operates more energy efficient.
4. Check windows and doors for drafts. Consider caulking / reglazing if needed
5. Make sure to have water and a safe alternate heating source in the event of power or gas outages.
6. Prepare for your animals and pets.
A. Make sure they will have access to fresh water in a freeze: consider a warming bowl found at many farm & supply chains as well as Amazon.
B. Consider insulating their sleeping area
7. Check you automobiles for proper anti- freeze levels.
8. Fill you wiper fluid reservoir with winter formula.
These are just a few of the most common winter preparedness measure we should all consider.
