🏠 HOMEOWNERS: IF WE’RE BRINGING THIS LEVEL OF DETAIL TO A COMMERCIAL PROJECT, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK WE CAN’T HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEMS ON YOUR HOME?
At Prostall Roofing, roofing isn’t simply about tearing off shingles or laying down membrane. It’s about understanding why a roofing system works, identifying where it can be improved, and finding solutions that protect the property while avoiding unnecessary costs.
That same knowledge and attention to detail goes into the residential customers we serve every day.
This project represents a major milestone for us.
After nearly 8 years in the roofing industry, primarily in residential roofing, along with experience working as a commercial project manager, I’m proud to bring that knowledge together as Prostall moves forward with its first commercial roofing project under our own belt.
I recently had the opportunity to sit down with the General Contractor for this project and go through the roofing plans in detail.
We discussed much more than simply installing a roof. We reviewed the TPO roofing system, insulation, cover board, flashing conditions, roof penetrations, crickets, drainage, downspouts, and overall roof design.
I also presented changes I believe could simplify portions of the original design, improve the drainage layout, eliminate components that may not be necessary, and potentially save the owner money—without sacrificing the performance of the roofing system.
I’m extremely pleased with how that conversation went.
The GC was very happy with what I presented and told me to move forward with developing the material specifications and pricing. He will then work through the proposed changes with his staff and the owner.
That’s exactly the type of relationship I want Prostall to have with our customers, GCs, owners, and project teams.
We’re not there just to sell more material.
We’re there to solve problems.
Becoming a Versico Authorized Contractor has made this next step even more meaningful. It allows us to combine years of residential field experience and commercial project-management experience with manufacturer-backed commercial roofing knowledge and installation requirements.
The drawings you’re looking at aren’t simply construction plans.
They’re an example of what happens before the roof ever gets installed—studying the design, asking questions, finding potential improvements, coordinating with the GC, developing the proper material specifications, and making sure we’re proposing a system that makes sense for the building and the owner.
And to our residential customers and followers:
If we’re willing to study a commercial roofing system at this level, imagine the attention we’re willing to give your home.
Whether it’s a leak nobody has been able to solve, drainage problems, storm damage, ventilation, flashing, or simply figuring out the correct roofing system for your property—bring us the problem and give us the opportunity to find the solution.
This may be the first commercial project under the Prostall name, but the experience behind it didn’t begin today.
