Mid-July and still going strong! 🤗☀️This is a perfect time for a heavy mid-season fertilizing session. If possible, reach for water-soluble granules that you add right to your watering can. Jacks and Miracle Gro bloom booster are both great options and easy to find at your local independent garden center. Water as usual with the hose, then follow up with a second watering about 10 mins later with the fertilizer. A little pruning, check for pest damage, and you’ll be all set as your summer planters head into the final stretch of summer beauty!

Looking at 32° overnight on Thursday 4/30. What a wild couple of weeks of spring weather we’ve had! If possible, pull your planters into the garage or your front door. If that’s not feasible, water them well to insulate the roots, and then cover your pots with a sheet or light towel to protect them, and secure with a clip or safety pin. Whatever you can find to keep the freezing air off those beautiful spring blooms! Pansies, and most of our other cold loving annuals will do fine. Sadly, those florist hydrangeas…will not. Cover the best you can and let me know if you have questions!
