🚩 Warning Sign Wednesday

That burning smell the first time the heat kicks on? Usually it's just dust that settled on the furnace over the summer burning off. It should clear out on its own pretty quick.

When it's NOT normal:
• It's still there after the first day
• It smells like hot plastic or wiring
• You see smoke

🔧 Maintenance Monday

Test your heat before you need it. Takes five minutes:

1. Put in a fresh filter.
2. Set the thermostat to Heat and bump it up 3 or 4 degrees.
3. Listen for it to kick on, then feel for warm air at the vents.
4. Pull furniture and rugs off the vents while you're at it.
