Sticking your whole dang face into a basil plant is the purest form of aroma therapy. I love it. 😌🌿
I pruned about a foot off of my plant, removed the leaves, washed the leaves, let them air dry, threw them into the oven, and then jarred them up for future use.
It feels pretty great doing these little projects and learning new things along the way.

Two things about lavender:

1. I always want to spell it “lavendar” as if ending in -ar portrays its royal beauty best.

2. My mom likes to pet this plant violently and then shove her hand in my face and say, “Smell my fingers!” 🤣
(She does that with all the herbs come to think of it.)
