Fort Recovery Lumber Co. is looking for a dependable, friendly, and organized individual to join our team in a Customer Service/Sales position.
The main focus of this position will be working directly with customers both in person and over the phone. Responsibilities will include helping customers determine what materials they need for their projects, assisting with product selections, answering questions about pricing and availability, preparing basic quotes and sales orders, and connecting customers with the appropriate salesperson or department for more involved projects.
This position will also include answering phones, assisting with receiving inventory into our computer system, reviewing receiving paperwork for accuracy, general office duties, and occasional bookkeeping, invoices, receipts, and other recordkeeping as needed.
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable working with customers
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working with computers and learning new software
• Willing to learn about building materials and the products we offer
• Able to work independently while also being part of a team
Sales, customer service, construction, or building-material experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Basic bookkeeping or accounting experience is also a plus, but not required.
