The Cantera Doors on the home in West Bay Club were extremely rusty and the previous paint color had faded. Ron's Painting ground down the rust and sealed it from the salt air using POR-15. We then sanded the doors, primed the doors and painted the doors and transom on the interior and exterior using Modern Masters Metallic paint in English Brown.

A friend of mine reached out to me asking if I could take care of a client of theirs in Hampton Park in Gateway. The association sent out letters requiring the homeowners have their soffits, gutters and fascia painted, but did not require the home to be painted. We were happy to help out the client. We pressure cleaned the home, protected the stucco walls with plastic, applied a chalk sealer to the areas to be painted, then painted the soffits, fascia and gutters with a coat of Sherwin Williams Duration in a gloss finish in Medium Bronze. The key to this job is the homeowner had no touch up paint for the stucco, so we could not get any paint on their stucco walls. Let me know your thoughts. Ron is a professional. We have used him twice to paint our home on the exterior. He and his crew were always on time, polite, and did a great job. Ron even offered to help and to come back after they were done, and offered to help with anything we made need to move. In my opinion, they are the best and most reasonable painter company in Lee County. And Ron is a really nice guy. The quote he gave me very reasonable.

A new way to look at exterior house painting. Please read to the end then look at the pictures at the bottom.

While many painting contractors put ads on social media with a picture of a painter spray painting a home or posting “Exterior house painting starting at $$$” just so you will call them. The one thing they never say is how long their exterior painting jobs will last after they paint a home. Sure, you can get a really cheap paint job using a really cheap exterior paint that will not hold up to the Florida sun, then 4-5 years later have to paint your home again. Have you ever noticed that if you buy a new home from a builder that your exterior painting job does not last and it fades and becomes chalky quickly or you can’t wash your interior walls. That’s because they use cheap paint.

There are several factors that come into play if you want to get your exterior paint job to last more than 5 years. Here are 4 main factors that come into play.
1)The paint color that you choose should hold up well to the Florida Sun, the colorants that are added to the paint determine how quickly it will fade.
2) The quality of the paint is a big factor, Sherwin Williams Duration or Emerald are two of the best paints to use on the exterior of your home.
3) Another factor is the painter that is doing the work, is he experienced, is his crew experienced and will they cut corners because they bid your home so cheap.
4) Does the painting contractor that your hire pressure clean, caulk and paint the same day or do they do it properly to allow every step to dry properly and cure before applying the paint. The paint should not be applied until day 3.
