726 Sq. Ft. That Completely Changed This Backyard

Take a look at the first photo and imagine this space without the enclosure.

The pool deck was already there. The backyard was already beautiful. What was missing was a comfortable boundary between the outdoor living area and everything Florida brings with it — mosquitoes, windblown debris, and constant pool-deck cleanup.

For Project #4397, our team enclosed 726 sq. ft. around the existing pool area with a custom mansard-style screen lanai. Instead of making the backyard feel boxed in, the layout keeps the space visually open while creating a much more usable environment around the pool.

One detail we especially like is the Picture View section — a simple design choice that opens up the sightline and makes a noticeable difference in how spacious the enclosure feels.

From measurements and 3D planning to engineering, permitting, construction, and final inspection, the project was completed in approximately three weeks.

Hurricane Protection That Disappears When You Don’t Need It

A motorized screen that can actually become part of your home’s hurricane protection? That’s where Hurricane-Rated Motorized Screens are very different from standard retractable screens.

These systems use engineered OmegaTex hurricane fabric with aramid/Kevlar Twaron fibers, reinforced self-adjusting tracks, a Heavy-Duty bottom bar, and structural mounting designed to handle storm-level wind and impact forces. When a Standard Pool Cage Isn’t Enough

A two-story home calls for a very different approach to screen enclosure design.

For Project #1536, Screen Factory Florida engineered a 47 × 36 ft Heavy-Duty pool cage that rises across two levels and creates more than 3,700 sq. ft. of protected outdoor living space.

The scale required more than simply making a standard enclosure taller. Doubled 2 × 10 SMB beams reinforce the flat roof, while K-braces and support cables provide additional structural support. Stainless steel fasteners were selected for Florida’s humid coastal conditions, and a 7-inch Super Gutter manages water along the roofline.

Inside the enclosure, No-See-Um mesh helps keep even tiny biting insects outside while preserving airflow. A Picture View screen wall opens the main sightline, and four access doors make it easy to move between the pool deck, backyard and outdoor areas on both floors.

The property’s historic designation added another layer of complexity: engineering documents and plans had to satisfy both structural requirements and additional historic-property review before construction could begin.

Picture View Pool Enclosure: Completed Fort Myers Project

The goal behind this Fort Myers project was clear: create a fully screened pool area without sacrificing the waterfront view.

The custom enclosure covers approximately 775 sq. ft., with a 17 × 10 ft Picture View screen wall serving as the focal point of the design. By minimizing visual interruptions along the primary sightline, the layout keeps the view toward the water feeling wide and open.

The structure combines a white aluminum frame, mansard roof, reinforced 2 × 6 SMB beams, and durable Super Screen mesh. Stainless steel fasteners, K-braces, support cables, and a 7-inch Super Gutter were also incorporated into the finished enclosure.

The completed space provides screen protection from insects and windblown debris while maintaining natural ventilation and the open atmosphere of the waterfront property.

The project included measurements, 3D visualization, engineering, permitting, and installation, with the entire process completed in approximately four weeks.
