Today, as we honor Juneteenth, we also recognize the continued progress of the National Juneteenth Museum in Fort Worth’s Historic Southside.

With a groundbreaking anticipated for late 2026, the project continues to move toward its next phase as a cultural destination rooted in education, preservation, economic opportunity and community connection. The museum will include immersive galleries, a black box theater, public courtyard, greenspace, business resource center and community-focused programming.

Working in collaboration with BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group, EDSA continues to provide full design services for the museum’s public realm and landscape experience.

Following a call for concepts by the City of Dallas EDSA developed a vision to reimagine City Hall and its surrounding public realm as part of a broader downtown destination that brings civic space, culture, entertainment, mixed-use development and daily activity into closer conversation.

Centered on the preservation of I.M. Pei’s iconic City Hall, the concept looks at how the site can better relate to downtown Dallas and the places around it. More than a renovation, the vision considers how streets, open spaces, gathering areas and future programming can work together to create a more welcoming and usable environment.

The result is a plan that honors the legacy of City Hall while creating new opportunities for residents, workers and visitors to gather, explore and experience this part of the city in a more connected way.
