Currently, our Northwest Region in Spencer is working on a shelter hours project that will benefit the community for years to come. The existing building used to be an old pool house for the city pool that included showers, bathrooms, and changing rooms.

For the project, we are converting it into a space that will include a great room for events, a kitchenette, and a few restrooms. We are also freshening up the outside of the building with new doors and windows and siding.

Thank you to our partners on this project - CMBA Architects, Farris Engineering, and Raker Rhodes Engineering.

Throughout the project, we will have help from Blankenship Paint & Glass, CW Suter Services, Denison Drywall Contracting & Supply, Eggers Electric, Inc, Kingdom Builders Masonry LLC and Mason City Glass Service to complete the transformation.

• Blake is originally from Waterloo; his hobbies include fishing, hunting and spending time outdoors.
• Braeden recently moved to Iowa from Maryland, and enjoys spending time with his wife and young son.
• Samuel spends his free time outdoors golfing or playing disc golf, and plans to bring his hard work and positivity to his role here!

The first week of October is Master Builders of Iowa to celebrate those working in the commercial construction industry.

Our teams in Fort Dodge, Ames and Spencer were able to spend time with students of all ages in their communities, teaching them about different kinds of equipment, how to use different tools, and more! Thanks to AFES Athletics For Education and Success, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Story County and Spencer Community Schools for letting us share the world of commercial construction with you!
