Eastern Colorado took another beating.

Hail reports from parts of eastern Colorado included stones reaching golf ball to tennis ball size, with some areas seeing enough hail to damage roofs, siding, gutters, windows, and vehicles.

If your home was hit, don’t assume everything is fine just because you can’t see damage from the ground. Hail can bruise shingles, loosen granules, and shorten the life of your roof long before leaks appear.

Full roof replacement approved from a hail storm last year.

This homeowner called for an inspection and wasn’t aware of the damage. We completed an inspection, documented the impacts, and worked directly with the carrier and adjuster to get the claim approved.

Our scope of work was finalized behind the scenes and we moved into production to ensure this home was returned to its pre-loss condition. The homeowner is only responsible for their insurance deductible.

Most homeowners think their roof stops at the shingles — but the truth is, your entire roof system includes what’s happening underneath, especially in your attic. 👀

Your attic isn’t just wasted space. It plays a critical role in how well your roof performs and how long it lasts. Here’s how:

💨 Ventilation Keeps Your Roof Breathing

Hot air naturally rises. Without proper attic ventilation, that heat has nowhere to go — it builds up under your roof deck, baking your shingles from below and driving up energy costs inside your home.
In winter, trapped heat melts snow unevenly, causing ice dams that can push water back under your shingles and into your home.

❄️ Insulation and Airflow Work Together

Good insulation keeps conditioned air inside your home, while good airflow lets excess heat and moisture escape. When these are balanced, your roof and attic stay healthy year-round.
Too little insulation means higher energy bills. Too much — or blocked soffit vents — can choke off airflow and lead to moisture buildup or even mold growth. Keep in mind, anything past an R value of R-49 along the Front Range wont provide a return on your investment.
