Your water pressure tells a story too.

When we look at a home, we're not only listening to the faucet — we're checking static pressure, whether there's a pressure-reducing valve (PRV), and if an expansion tank is doing its job with the water heater.

This Fort Collins home had no pressure-reducing valve. Static water pressure was about 90 psi, and the homeowners were replacing faucet cartridges early.

We installed a pressure-reducing valve and set it to 60 psi, taking the house from about 90 psi down to 60. It's easy to adjust and has a built-in gauge, so we can nudge the pressure up or down to what the homeowners like.
