You might have seen finished pictures of this home added to our last post by the owner, but if not, they will be coming up soon! We have had the privilege of working with some of the nicest people you would ever want to know, and these customers were the best of the best!

Again, this customer wanted their home to look 100 years old, so they chose a dark grey stain with light grey chinking. In the past, chinking was necessary as homes were built with whatever trees were growing nearby. Now we use milled logs, so chinking is not required, but can be used for aesthetic purposes. We thought it looked beautiful!

The custom back porch turned out beautifully, so we got ready for the next step...stain! This is when the home really gets transformed, so stay tuned!!!

One of the favorite past times in the Ozarks is sweet tea on the front or back porch...so these customers wanted plenty of space to enjoy their family time. They decided to extend their 8' deck out to 20' and I have to say, I thought it turned out beautifully! Stay tuned for the finished pictures!!!

I always love a beautiful day for photos! As you can see, not only is the roof completed, the porch posts and spindles are also done, at least on the front. Since the customers wanted a custom back porch (coming soon!), the guys did this in sections. Stay tuned for the progress on this beautiful home!

And now for the metal roof! This home had a dark brown crinkle coat metal roof, which we LOVED, and the customers were absolutely thrilled with! Since their desire was to have a new home that looked 100 years old... nailed it!

We had a very anxious customer who wanted to get to the loft ("her bedroom") in grandma and grandpa's new log home...so these were quite literally, "necessary steps." Some of the best memories are with the families who build with us!
