Get rid of infested trees now. Waiting for temperatures below 60 degrees may reduce beetle flight and can be a good time for routine pine thinning and removals. However, there is no blanket rule that an actively infested tree should remain standing until then. If live beetles or larvae are still beneath the bark, the tree can continue producing beetles that may emerge and attack nearby stressed pines. The safest course is to remove an actively infested tree promptly to protect other surrounding trees. Call today for a free inspection. 480-495-6465.
