Throughout my journey in the locksmith business, which I entered after retiring from a previous career in 2022/23 and subsequently founding my business in 2024, I have encountered numerous moments of humility. A recent experience that stands out involved working on a vintage mortised lock at a Victorian mansion on Summit Avenue in St Paul. The door knob's detachment due to a sheared spindle presented a challenge, as the rusted components were immovable. After consulting with the customer, I sought the advice of Jose, an experienced tradesman at Babcock and Son Locksmith. His extensive knowledge and professionalism were evident in the guidance he provided, which significantly contributed to determining the optimal course of action. The customer is presently considering the best approach, including potential door replacement or further work. I am grateful for the assistance provided by Jose and his team, and I acknowledge the value of their expertise.

Yesterday was a fun day. A customer has two family cabins on the St Croix River. The cabins were built early in the last century and sit high on the river bluffs. The doors were relatively unremarkable but the property was amazing
