Been a busy few days over the weekend and hadn’t been able to spend much time out back. Garden hasn’t quite been the same since the historic flooding but we are enjoying what’s still going!!
San Marzanos are going strong even though our brandywines and big steaks have halted pretty hard.
Cucumbers are continuing to flourish but I think we are nearing the end.
I’ve never seen okra plants this tall in my life and they are living their best lives.
Spicy peppers are killing it. Serranos, ghosts and habaneros are really coming in strong. Lemon jalapeños and regular jalapeños not so much but we’ve really enjoyed the few we’ve had. And our gypsy bells are starting to turn and look so cool!
Corn has come and gone and got enjoyed by the neighborhood raccoons mostly, but we did get to enjoy some so it’s a win.
We didn’t harvest a single watermelon this year and as you can see from the video, the cantaloupes have run their course. Same thing happened last year. Whatever got them got them quick.
But my peas and carrots are doing well so far for fall!
