Giving back is part of what makes a community strong, and yesterday, members of the RPM leadership team got to put that into action at CCSNJ’s Day of Service with Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity.

Our team helped with a little bit of everything, from flooring to ceilings, on a new home being built for a local family. And Lindsey even got to try her hand at using a power saw!

We had a great time putting our skills to good use for a good cause, and it was a reminder that the work we do can make an impact in more ways than one.

We’re grateful for the communities that support us and always look forward to opportunities to give that support back. Thanks to CCSNJ and Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity for bringing everyone together for a great day of service!

The temperatures are dropping, and it won’t be long before our fleet starts looking like this every day.

As we inch closer to winter, preparation turns into action. Our team is getting ready for the season ahead because when winter weather hits, our partners count on us to be ready.

The countdown is on. Winter is closer than it feels.

Brine production is one more part of winter preparation that takes knowledge, training, and attention to detail. Not every company makes its own brine, but at RPM, we’ve invested the time to learn the process and train our managers to do it right.

It’s about taking ownership of the details that help us deliver dependable service when our clients need us most.

Winter readiness doesn’t happen when the first flakes fall. It starts with the work we put in beforehand.

From preparing equipment to getting our team ready, we take winter operations seriously. When the weather hits, our customers are counting on us, and we take ownership of making sure we’re ready to deliver.

The work starts long before the storm.

We’re back from Nashville, and we brought a lot back with us!

Our time at the Leanscaper Finance Intensive gave our leadership team the opportunity to learn from others, challenge the way we think, and look at our business through a different lens. From building a stronger culture to being intentional about profitability, ownership, and long-term growth, we came home with plenty to talk about.

Next up? Getting the team together to go through our biggest takeaways, talk through what resonated, and start building a game plan for how we can put these ideas into action at RPM.

But there was another win from this trip that deserves some recognition:

While our entire leadership team was away, the business kept moving. Problems got solved. Work rolled on. Our guys stepped up, took ownership, and handled what needed to get done.

No imploding. No missing a beat. Just a team doing what they do.

That speaks volumes about the people at RPM, the trust we’ve built, and the ownership our team takes in what we do every day. Growth isn’t just about what happens in a conference room. It’s also about building a team that can step up, make decisions, and keep things moving when it matters.

We’re proud of this crew, excited about what we learned, and ready to put it to work.

Day 2 of LeanScaper brought a lot of conversations, ideas, and a few notes we’ll probably be talking about for a while.

From building a culture where people have opportunities to grow, to looking at ownership and accountability differently, to thinking about the value of the business today versus where it can go tomorrow there was plenty to take in.

One idea that stuck with us: profit on purpose. Not just working in the business, but being intentional about why we’re making the decisions we make and where those decisions are taking RPM.

The best part? Getting to sit at a table with our entire leadership team while surrounded by people who have been there, people who are on a similar path, and people who are willing to openly share what they’ve learned along the way.

And, of course, no trip to Nashville is complete without a little time on Broadway. First time for all of us going out as a group, and we definitely made the most of it.

Thank you to our guide Paul St.Jean for being a great host this week!

Our team kicked off the conference with a full day of learning, challenging conversations, and new perspectives on what it takes to build a stronger business and deliver greater value to our customers.

A few themes that stuck with us: redefining what’s possible in our industry, measuring what matters, understanding the impact behind the numbers, and remembering that you can’t sell what you can’t perform.

And after a packed day, we wrapped things up at an evening networking reception before grabbing a few drinks together. It was a great chance to connect with new faces, catch up with people we’ve met virtually, and kick back as a team before gearing up for Day 2!

Next stop: Nashville.

Our leadership team is headed to Leanscaper’s Finance Intensive, and this trip represents more than a few days away from the office. It’s a step forward for both our business and the people leading it.

For the first time, this group is stepping away from the day-to-day together to learn, grow, challenge ourselves and invest in what comes next for RPM. We’re looking forward to gaining new knowledge, bringing new ideas back home and experiencing this opportunity as a team.

Growth doesn’t happen by standing still. We’re building the people, leadership and systems that will help take RPM to the next level together.

Follow along this week as we share a little bit of the experience, the lessons and what we’re bringing back with us.

Summer was fun. But let’s be honest… if you know RPM, you know we’re never too far from thinking about !

Cue the heavy metal (machinery, that is).

Snow season is on our mind, and we’re already wondering: when are those first flurries showing up?

Place your bets. Mother Nature, we’re ready.

Next week, members of the RPM leadership team are heading to Nashville for the LeanScaper Finance Intensive.

We’re always looking for ways to get better not just in the field, but in the way we lead, plan, and grow our business. This two-day intensive brings together landscape industry leaders to dig into the numbers behind a successful business, from profitability and cash flow to revenue per hour, financial planning, and building long-term value.

We’re looking forward to learning from some great speakers, connecting with other leaders in our industry, and bringing new ideas back to RPM!

And if you’re attending, let us know! We’d love to connect, meet some new faces, and finally put a face to the names of people we’ve gotten to know virtually.

See you in Nashville!
