Blueprint Design Co. "Your Dream Home, Defined by Every Detail" My passion for design and the building industry began at a young age.

I loved accompanying my father to his various jobs, whether it was installing garage doors, re-roofing, re-siding homes, framing remodels, or helping him paint new additions. This early exposure sparked my interest in building, leading me to take CAD classes in high school, which deepened my love for home design. After high school, I pursued a degree in Architectural Technology at St. Cloud Technical and Community College, where I mastered drafting software, building codes, and estimating. During college, I began designing new homes part-time, and after graduation, I transitioned to full-time design work. Over the past 8+ years, I've gained hands-on experience in designing a wide range of projects for homeowners and builders. These projects have ranged from small decks and screen porch additions to partial and full home renovations, as well as homes from 900 to 10,000+ square feet, and even some small commercial remodels.

A little life update from Blueprint Design Co. 🤍

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared an update here, and there’s a pretty good reason — our family has welcomed another little one!

The past few months have been a busy season behind the scenes. I’ve been working hard to keep projects moving, get clients taken care of, and wrap up what I could before welcoming our newest little addition. And now that baby is here, I’m taking a little time to soak in these newborn days while continuing to keep Blueprint Design Co. moving forward.

BDC is still here, still designing, and still booking projects for the months ahead. If you’ve been thinking about starting a new home, remodel, addition, deck, or another project, I’d love to hear what you have in mind and get you on the schedule.

To my current clients, past clients, builders, realtors, and everyone who has supported BDC — thank you. Your patience, referrals, recommendations, and continued trust in my little business mean more than you know. 💙

It’s been a pretty special season — working hard to build homes for others while also building a family of five of my own. I’m incredibly grateful for both. 🏡🤍

I recently received a card with a payment from a client, and the message inside truly stopped me for a second.

Some moments really remind me why I love what I do.

When a client takes the time to send something like this, it goes far beyond a transaction. It becomes a relationship built on trust, shared excitement, and the kind of collaboration that turns a dream into something real.

Designing homes isn’t just about drawings and details—it’s about stepping into someone’s vision for their future and helping bring it to life, piece by piece. And along the way, you don’t just work together… you get to know each other. Sometimes you even become friends.

Every project carries its own story, and no two are ever the same. That’s one of the things I’ve grown to love most about this work—everyone’s journey is different, and every home reflects that.

That’s something I never take for granted.

I’m incredibly grateful for the families who trust me with something so meaningful. This is the part of my work that keeps me inspired. ❤

Feeling thankful today.

Mother’s Day means a little more to me every year.

As both a small business owner and a mom, I’ve realized that building a business and building a family go hand in hand. Both take patience, sacrifice, long nights, and a whole lot of love.

Some days look like client meetings, floor plans, and construction details. Other days look like bedtime stories, muddy boots, farm chores, and little hands helping wherever they can. Most days… it’s both at the same time. ❤️

Blueprint Design Co. was built not only from a love of design, but from a deep appreciation for home itself — the place where life happens, memories are made, and families grow. Becoming a mother has only deepened that meaning for me.

To all the moms out there balancing dreams, businesses, careers, families, and everything in between — I see you. The work you do matters more than words can say.

Happy Mother’s Day from Blueprint Design Co.

but great plans don’t happen by chance.

They’re built with experience, creativity, and the right designer by your side.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Good Plans Save Time, Money, and Headaches

One thing I always remind clients and builders of:
The more thought that goes into the plans before construction starts, the smoother the build will go.

Whether you're building a new home, planning a remodel, or working through early design ideas, taking the time to develop the plans properly is one of the most valuable steps in the process.

M goal is to create plans that not only bring your vision to life but also support the builder and construction process along the way.

🌷 Spring is in the air… and the summer build calendar is filling up! 🏡

This time last year I was just getting things going — focusing on building the business and bringing in those first few projects. Today, I’m incredibly grateful to say the schedule is filling up and the hard work is paying off. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their projects and helped support this journey.

If you’re planning a new home, remodel, addition, or deck this summer, now is the time to get the design process started so your project is ready when building season arrives. 👷‍♀️🔨

Homeowners and builders — if you have a project that needs plans, revisions, or drafting support, let’s get it on the calendar before summer spots are gone.

Sneak peek 👀✨

Yesterday I walked through a home I began working on last March — and now it’s just weeks away from keys in hand. Seeing one of Blueprint’s very first projects this close to completion is such a full-circle milestone.

This project began with the builder’s initial sketch and vision, and Blueprint had the privilege of stepping in to refine and develop those ideas — translating them into detailed, build-ready plans that could carry the home from concept to construction.

From early development to on-site walkthroughs, this one has been a true collaboration. The best projects are never rushed — good design takes time, thoughtful decisions, and ongoing adjustments before, during, and even after construction. I’m so grateful to work alongside builders who care about the details and value teamwork throughout the entire process.

This is just a glimpse… the final finishes are coming together beautifully, and I can’t wait to share the full reveal. Stay tuned 👏🏡

Huge credit to Harren Companies, Inc. for bringing this vision to life and for the collaboration and trust every step of the way.

Milestones like this remind me exactly why I started Blueprint Design Co. 🤍

Between family life and a full schedule at Blueprint Design Co., social media took a back seat — but behind the scenes, the work (and learning) never stopped.

Today I’m attending a seminar covering legal and business issues affecting contractors and designers — from energy code updates to insurance, tax considerations, and industry changes.

It’s not the glamorous side of design, but it’s important. Staying educated means I can continue serving my clients well and running my small business with integrity.
Grateful to keep growing — in business and in life.

Christmas may be behind us, but the planning never stops. ✏️🏡

The day after Christmas is the perfect time to reflect and look ahead. After hosting family, gathering around the tree, and making memories at home, you may have noticed where a little more space would help—room to gather, a better kitchen flow, or even the perfect spot for that Christmas tree next year.

As we spend the next week soaking up extra family time, Blueprint Design Co. is still open and scheduling consultations for the new year. If a new build, remodel, or addition is on your mind, now is the perfect time to get the process started. Reach out today to reserve a spot on the 2026 schedule and turn those holiday thoughts into a plan. 🤍🏡

Running a small business often means long days, late nights, and countless decisions that don’t always come with a clear blueprint. It’s easy to get caught up in the next task, the next deadline, the next goal.

But last night, as the Northern Lights danced across the sky, I was reminded to pause — to look up in awe of the beauty that only God can design.

Just like in my work, where every line and detail comes together to form a greater picture, He’s drawing something far bigger than I can see right now. Each challenge, each blessing, each late night — all part of His greater plan.

So today, I’m thankful. Thankful for this journey, for the people who trust me with their dreams, and for the reminder that even when we can’t see the full plan, the Master Designer can. 💙

If you were lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights too, share your photo below — I’d love to see how He painted the sky where you are.
