A lot goes into a new construction project long before the drywall goes up and the thermostat gets turned on.

Sometimes were in the attic and sometimes were up High in the Air taking care of warranty work. @
Technically on a changeout for existing house you dont replace the thermostat wire. But in this case the thermostat wire had a break inside the casing. When we changed the unit out we had to use a couple of the extra wires in it cause the others were shorted out. It worked for a month and we had a call back and other wires were shorted. So we had to remove there wire running up this pole and run new.
At this point its our problem cause we should of mentioned the wire to the customer but we thought our fix would be good, But it wasnt. Warranty problems are high priority some push them to the back, but we believe in putting them at the front cause we believe in keeping our customers priority cause that is the Fields Way!!!

What started as a service call turned into helping a customer make a long-term investment in their comfort.

After tracking down refrigerant leaks on an aging system, it became clear the best solution was replacing equipment that had given years of service but was reaching the end of its life. Today, we’re installing a new high-efficiency system and setting the customer up for improved reliability, comfort, and energy savings.

A big shoutout to the team for working through the heat and keeping the job moving. Sometimes the best repair is knowing when replacement makes more sense than continuing to put money into an older system.

Maintenance Matters – Even When Everything Seems Fine

This attic may not be the most comfortable place to spend part of the day, but it’s where a lot of problems are found before they become expensive repairs.

Did You Know?

Your outdoor AC unit (condenser) needs proper airflow to keep your home cool and your energy bills down. Over time, dirt, grass clippings, pollen, and debris can clog the outdoor coils, making your system work harder than it should.

How to Safely Rinse Your Outdoor AC Coils:
✅ Turn off power to the outdoor unit.
✅ Use a regular garden hose with light water pressure.
✅ Spray from the inside out if possible, or gently rinse the coil fins from top to bottom.
✅ Avoid pressure washers—they can damage the delicate fins.
✅ Clear away leaves, weeds, and debris around the unit, keeping at least 18-24 inches of clearance.
✅ Restore power when finished.

A simple coil rinse can help improve efficiency, reduce strain on your system, and keep your AC running better during the hottest days of summer.

If the coils are heavily impacted with dirt, grease, or salt-air buildup, a professional cleaning may be needed.

Starting the morning at church, stepped outside and immediately remembered why we work in HVAC.

After the week we’ve had, this is about to be the entire Fields crew…

Between multiple installs, service calls, new construction jobs, maintenance visits, and trying to dodge the rain, we’re officially running on fumes!

By Friday afternoon, you’ll probably find us stretched out just like this looking for the nearest shaded spot and hoping nobody asks us to move.

But let’s all take a moment to feel bad for the on-call guy…

Just when he gets comfortable, that phone is going to ring:
“My AC stopped working…”
“It’s making a funny noise…”
“Can you come take a look tonight?”

Another day, another two-system install day completed.

The team has really been stepping up and meeting the needs of our customers while still keeping up with service calls at the same time. The rain made things a little interesting today, but we made it happen and kept pushing forward.

Proud of this crew and the effort they continue to put in every single day to keep Baldwin County comfortable. Thank you to all of our customers for continuing to trust us with your homes and businesses!

Another big day for the crew yesterday! We completed 2 full system change outs for a customer who wanted all “triplets” matching throughout the property.

This project started last year, and yesterday officially completed the final phase of upgrading all of the aging systems. Huge thank you to the customer for trusting us through the entire process from start to finish.

There’s something satisfying about seeing a long-term plan come together and knowing the home now has reliable, updated comfort across the board.
