Tropical Weather Preparedness – Secure Active Construction Sites
Due to the potential for significant tropical weather to affect Baldwin County, the Baldwin County Building Department is asking all contractors with active permits to secure construction sites and complete storm preparations as soon as possible.
Please ensure active job sites are left in a safe and secure condition, including:
• Remove or secure loose construction materials, debris, and temporary signage.
• Secure dumpsters, portable toilets, trailers, scaffolding, temporary fencing, and other equipment.
• Secure or relocate tools, machinery, and materials vulnerable to high winds, heavy rain, or flooding.
• Check temporary coverings, erosion-control measures, and other site protections.
Please complete preparations early and allow adequate time to secure job sites before weather conditions deteriorate.
Continue to monitor official weather forecasts and guidance from Baldwin County Emergency Management and other appropriate authorities.
The Baldwin County Building Department will provide additional information if inspections or departmental operations are affected.
