Yep. The person responsible for the company is also the one putting on the climbing gear and going up the tree.

Apparently that’s a little unusual these days.

Around here, we don’t send someone out to sell you a job and then start making phone calls trying to find a climber willing to do it.

The owner IS the climber.

That means when we look at a tree hanging over your house, garage, fence, pool, wires or whatever else you’d really prefer it NOT land on, the person figuring out how it’s coming down is also the person who will actually be up there doing it.

Leaves are starting to change, the weather can’t make up its mind, and that tree you’ve been watching all summer is still out there pretending it isn’t your problem.

🌳 THE MINI CREW WOULD LIKE EVERYONE TO LOOK AT THESE BEFORE & AFTERS.

Because apparently our dad decided trimming ONE tree yesterday wasn't enough.

A HUGE thank you to Tom H. from Ortonville for trusting Dad and his crew with a whole yard full of work!

And this wasn't the kind of “tree trimming” where somebody shows up with a ladder, cuts whatever they can reach and calls it a day. 👀

Dad had a large Cottonwood limb growing toward the house that needed to come down without the house joining it.

That means climbing, knowing exactly where and how to make the cuts, controlling heavy pieces as they come down and having enough experience to know what that limb is going to do BEFORE you cut it.

Good thing Dad has been doing this for almost 20 years because “we'll see what happens” isn't really a great tree-removal strategy.

Then Dad and the guys crown thinned and elevated a Tulip Poplar, Japanese Maple and TWO Crimson King Maples, trimmed a Black Maple away from one of the Crimson Maples, thinned a Sunbeam Maple, elevated two Choke Cherry trees AND removed a Lilac bush.

And there's a BIG difference between properly trimming a tree and just making branches disappear.

Dad has to know what can safely come out, what needs to stay, how much to remove and where every cut should be made so the finished tree still looks like well a TREE.

Jaxson: Dad climbs it.

Evie Mae: Dad cuts it.

Colton: WALL-E?!

Yes, buddy. Wall-E helped too. 😂

Then the guys chipped, hauled and cleaned everything up because our customers hired a tree service, not a “we left you a giant pile of branches, good luck” service.

And Mom says we aren't allowed to say TOO much about the competition
So we'll just say this:
Dad owns the equipment.

🌳 The “Get on the Oak List Early” Special

September 17th and we’re switching things up a little Let’s talk Oaks.

Yes, we know it’s only September.

No, we haven’t lost track of what month it is. 😂

We’re opening our schedule EARLY for our November–April Oak trimming season, and we’re running an Early Booking Oak Trim Special through September 30th!

Why book now?

Because every year Oak season gets here and suddenly everybody remembers the giant Oak hanging over the house that they’ve been meaning to have trimmed for the last three years.

Then everybody wants on the schedule at once.

There’s a reason we prefer to do routine Oak trimming during the colder, dormant months.

Oak wilt is a serious disease that can kill Oak trees, and pruning during times when Oaks are actively growing and the insects that can spread the disease are active can increase the risk of infection.

Waiting for the colder months also gives us a great opportunity to see the tree’s structure once the leaves are gone.

And a properly trimmed Oak can benefit from:

🌳 Removing dead, damaged or questionable limbs

A big Mini Crew thank you to Glen N. from Ortonville! 🌳

Dad and his crew were out taking care of a storm-damaged branch in Glen’s Elm tree. Storm damage can leave behind some pretty sketchy situations, so Dad got up there, safely removed the damaged branch, and got everything taken care of.

🌳💚 A BIG MINI CREW THANK YOU TO BELINDA H. FROM WATERFORD! 💚🌳

Jaxson, Evie Mae & Colton here with today’s official report on Dad and his crew.

We weren’t on the job site today apparently three tiny supervisors are not required for every tree job but Dad filled us in!

Today the guys took care of a Norway Maple that needed a little TLC. They removed one large dead branch, elevated the crown, and cleaned out the dead suckers to get it looking good again.

Dad climbed.
The crew worked.
The tree got its makeover. 🌳✨
And we stayed home being cute and taking full credit for everything. 😂
