LIMESCALE IS QUIETLY EATING YOUR APPLIANCES 🔧

You know that chalky white crust on your faucet aerator and around the base of your showerhead? The stuff that comes back a week after you scrub it off?

That's limescale. And the part nobody thinks about is this: if it's building up on the outside where you can see it, it's building up on the inside where you can't.

Where it actually comes from

Hard water isn't dirty water. It's water carrying dissolved calcium and magnesium — minerals it picked up moving through rock and soil before it ever reached the treatment plant. Perfectly safe to drink. Completely invisible in the glass.

The trouble starts when that water gets heated or moves through a change in pressure. The minerals drop out of solution and bond to whatever surface they're touching. Then they keep stacking, layer on layer, month after month.

What that means for the equipment in your house

🔥 Water heater — Scale settles on the bottom of the tank and on the heating elements. It acts like a blanket between the heat source and the water, so your heater runs longer to hit the same temperature. Same hot shower, more energy to make it. It's also one of the most common reasons a water heater fails years earlier than it should.

🚿 Pipes and fixtures — Scale narrows the inside diameter of your plumbing a little at a time. Lower pressure, weaker spray, clogged aerators.
