Imagine this space sitting as an attic for 112 years.

We gave it a new purpose using the very materials that had been part of this home for over a century—preserving the worn textures and details that make it so special.

At BuildSpeck, we’re passionate about bringing new life to existing homes without erasing their character. Honoring the craftsmanship, keeping the memories alive, and making room for generations of new ones.

The best transformations don’t just make a home look better—they change how it feels and functions every day.

This full kitchen renovation brought together custom cabinetry, warm wood details, integrated lighting and carefully executed finishes to create a space that feels open, refined and completely at home.

Swipe right to see the completed transformation.

Built with intention. Finished with precision.

From Kung Fu Saloon patio to Marfa Lights.

Bringing a concept like this to life takes more than construction. It takes working hand in hand with talented designers and creators, understanding their vision, and finding ways to make it work in the real world.

We're proud of the role BuildSpeck played in turning that vision into a one-of-a-kind space in Austin. Design by

What you don’t see when the project is finished matters just as much as what you do.

A proper 3-coat stucco system is built in stages: the scratch coat, brown coat, and finish coat. Each layer has a specific job, and the preparation, curing, and application between those layers are critical.

Stucco isn’t just about creating a good-looking exterior. Done correctly, the entire wall assembly works together to manage moisture, resist cracking, withstand the elements, and protect the structure for decades.

Cutting corners on something that will eventually be covered up can lead to expensive problems down the road. We believe in doing it correctly while we have the opportunity to do it correctly.

The finished product is only as good as what’s underneath it.

Big remodels don't always require big changes everywhere.

Sometimes the details make the biggest difference.

A cleaner transition between materials.
Better lighting in the right places.
Updated trim and hardware.
A doorway opened up just a little more.
Simplifying an outdated detail instead of replacing everything around it.

Good remodeling is about knowing what to change-and what to leave alone.

Those subtle decisions can make an existing home feel completely different without taking away the character that made it worth remodeling in the first place.

At BuildSpeck, we focus on the details that make the finished project feel intentional, functional, and like it was always supposed to be that way.

We are proud to have sponsored Hole #8 at the Luau Golf Tournament in Jacksonville! We're grateful for the opportunity to support a great local event, spend the day with good people, and become more involved in the East Texas community.

We are excited about serving Tyler, and surrounding areas, I look forward to building new relationships and helping homeowners bring their construction and remodeling plans to life.

If you're considering a custom home, addition, or high-end remodel, I'd appreciate the opportunity to visit with you.

Commercial build-out from the ground up.

This barre studio started as an open shell and was transformed into a finished, fully functioning space — underground work, framing, mechanical systems, drywall, finishes and all the details that brought the design together.

We enjoy projects where you can see the entire transformation from construction to completion.
