The leaves told us before the tree did.

This oak in Clinton was showing signs of bacterial leaf scorch and the homeowner
was nervous about it. Tight work area, so the crane went in the back and our
climber took the tops out first to make room for everything below.

Every piece of wood leaves the site. It will look like we were never here, and if
not, a little better than the day we pulled up.

Sometimes the only way out is up.

This one stood tight against a fence with houses on every side, so there was nowhere to drop it. We set the crane in the driveway, our climber rode the hook up into the crown, and the tree left over the fence one piece at a time with the cable holding the weight. The fence is still standing, without a scratch.

The whole crown leaves as chips.

Taking the tree down is the loud part. What is left behind is a lot full of brush, and it goes in limb by limb until the body is full and the asphalt is clear.

The whole boom runs off a control box on his belt.

Taking the tree down is half of it. The rest is getting the wood out. The grapple picks up sections nobody is moving by hand, swings them over the truck, and sets them into the body.
