🏊 NEW POOL CUSTOMER — EAGLE HARBOR!

This beautiful pool just received a fresh new interior finish and now the real work begins.

A newly resurfaced pool isn’t ready for “normal” weekly maintenance on Day 1. The first 28–30 days are critical because the cementitious finish is still curing and is especially susceptible to scaling, staining and discoloration. Proper water chemistry, circulation and brushing during this period can directly affect how that finish looks and performs for years.

That’s why our startup process gets much more attention than a standard weekly cleaning.

💧 THE FIRST 30 DAYS MATTER

During the initial startup period, the pool needs frequent testing and chemistry adjustments. The National Plasterers Council recommends monitoring pH, total alkalinity and calcium hardness, along with frequent brushing to remove plaster dust as the new surface cures.

For a typical cementitious finish, startup care can include:

Days 1–3: Closely monitor and adjust water chemistry, keep filtration running as required, and thoroughly brush the new surface to remove plaster dust.

First 7 days: Continue frequent testing, adjustments and brushing while the finish begins curing and the filtration system removes plaster dust.

Days 7–28: Continue monitoring chemistry and brushing as needed while protecting the new surface from staining, scaling and improper water balance.

Salt pools: NPC guidance says do not add salt during the first 30 days. Wheeled cleaners should also stay out during the initial 28-day startup period.

And one important point: the finish manufacturer's specific startup instructions always take priority, because different plaster, quartz and aggregate finishes can have different requirements.

This isn't the time to guess with chemistry.

Our technicians are trained to understand the special maintenance requirements of newly resurfaced pools—from brushing and filtration to water testing and chemical balance—so we can help protect one of the biggest investments in your backyard.

You already spent the money making your pool beautiful. Now protect the investment. 💦

💧 Have you noticed a brown, green, or dark spot on your pool that just won’t brush away?

Pool stains can come from leaves and other organic debris, metals in the water, chemical imbalances, or even algae that only *looks* like a stain.

Knowing what you're dealing with matters because different types of discoloration may require different treatments.

Learn more about the common causes of pool stains, how they can be removed, and what you can do to help prevent them from returning.

I spent 20 years in the rat race working for some of the largest banks in the world.

At 39, I finally decided enough was enough and took the leap and opened my first business.

At 45, I opened my second.
At 48, I opened my third.

I had never owned a business before in my life.

No investors.
No business partners.
No safety net.

I went all in and I never looked back.

Entrepreneurship isn’t easy. There are sleepless nights, stress, risk, mistakes, and plenty of moments where you wonder what the hell you got yourself into.

But there is one thing I could never give back:

FREEDOM.

I’ll never have to ask permission to take a day off with my family.

I’ll never have to ask if it’s okay to leave early.

I’ll never have someone telling me when I can take lunch, when I can vacation, or how much I’m worth.

Once you taste that kind of freedom you become unemployable.

I spent 20 years building someone else’s dream.

Then one day I decided it was time to build mine.

Best decision I ever made.

Although I did quit my 9–5 so I could work 24/7. 😂

Growing a business is great but growing a TEAM is what builds your future.

One of the best parts about being a business owner is realizing that the people on your team are using the opportunity you helped create to feed their families, chase their dreams, and build a better life.

Being a boss isn’t just about creating income just for yourself.

It’s about creating opportunity for other people.

Build the business.
Build the culture.
Build the people.

Because when your team grows with you everybody wins.
