In the coming days, we suggest HOLDing the temperature on your thermostat and avoid using programming. Your furnace is going to struggle. It’s not too small. If it were bigger, it would be oversized for 95+% of the time and have a lot of issues. Properly sized equipment balances that difference. It may lose temperature in the home, don’t panic, if there’s warm air coming out it’s working. If you’re not sure, use a meat thermometer and put it in a register. If it’s warmer than your thermostat set point by more than 20+degrees, it is working. And PLEASE check and change your filter if necessary. 1” filters should be changed monthly. 2” - 4” filters should be changed every 3 months. Aprilaire media filters (Spacegards) should be changed minimum every 12 months. We are always happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have about your HVAC system.
