Another front entry brought back to life!
What started as an aging set of front steps quickly revealed a much bigger problem once demolition began. There was extensive rot throughout the existing framing, and the structure had been built without proper footings — it was essentially sitting directly on the dirt.
We tore out the deteriorated structure and rebuilt it from the ground up, starting with new footings and all-new pressure-treated framing to give the entry the solid foundation it should have had from the beginning.
We also added an additional step so the new staircase would finish properly at the existing paver walkway. The customer requested a picture-frame style for the decking and stair treads, finished off with new white railings and black balusters for a clean, updated look.
Quite a transformation from what we uncovered underneath!
