Smell The Roses Heating & Air We’re Dylan and Brittany and we are building a family-owned HVAC business right here in Central Indiana. Our goal is to change that.

With 14 years of hands-on experience, Dylan has worn just about every hat in the trades: technician, installer, manager, trainer, and more. Brittany brings a background in customer service and marketing, rooted in serving people with empathy and excellence. We started Smell the Roses Heating & Air because we’ve seen how the industry works and we knew it could be done differently. Too often, customers are backed into a corner when their system goes down, pressured into replacements before repairs are even considered. We believe in honest assessments, high-quality work, and options that put you in control of your comfort, not cornered by it. As a local family we’re building something we can be proud of — not just for our customers, but for our children to see that business can be built with heart, integrity, and hard work. When we’re not working, you’ll find us cheering on the Pacers and Colts, supporting local businesses, and enjoying everything Central Indiana has to offer. We’re here to help you stay cool, warm, and worry-free and to make you feel like part of the Smell the Roses family.

🚨 “Your HVAC system is out of manufacturer specifications.”

That sentence can get VERY expensive.

A homeowner recently called us after another HVAC company came out to their home.

Instead of simply diagnosing the issue they called about, they were handed a laundry list of things that were supposedly “out of manufacturer specs.”

Suddenly, their perfectly comfortable home felt like it had a ticking time bomb in the basement.

They were told about problem after problem.

And they felt pressured to make a decision right then.

Sound familiar?

Here’s the thing…

You shouldn’t have to be an HVAC expert to know whether you’re being treated fairly.

At Smell The Roses Heating & Air, we believe in a different approach.

🌹 We show you what we find.
🌹 We explain why it matters.
🌹 We give you your options.
🌹 And we let YOU decide what happens next.

If your system needs a repair, we’ll tell you.

If it needs to be replaced, we’ll tell you.

And if something doesn’t actually need attention, we’ll tell you that too.

No scare tactics.
No unnecessary pressure.
No “sign today or else.”

Just honest HVAC service from people you can trust.

👉 Before you spend thousands of dollars because someone told you something is “out of spec,” get a second opinion.

🔥 Is your AC running nonstop right now?

As temps climb, your system is definitely going to work harder. But if it feels like it never shuts off, your home still isn’t cooling well, or your energy bill is creeping up, something may be going on.

A few common causes:
☑ Dirty air filter
☑ Dirty outdoor coil
☑ Low refrigerant
☑ Weak airflow
☑ Ductwork issues
☑ An aging system struggling to keep up

The good news? It doesn’t always mean you need a new system. Sometimes a repair, cleaning, or tune-up can make a big difference.

If your AC is running constantly and your house still doesn’t feel comfortable, give us a call. We’ll take a look, explain what’s going on, and help you understand your options.

🔥 AC season is officially here… and we’re already getting a lot of “my AC isn’t working” calls.

Before you panic, here are 3 quick things to check:

1️⃣ Check your filter
A dirty filter can restrict airflow and make your system struggle.

2️⃣ Check your thermostat
Make sure it’s set to cool and the batteries aren’t dead.

3️⃣ Check your outdoor unit
Make sure it’s running and not blocked by grass, leaves, weeds, or debris.

If you’ve checked the basics and your home still isn’t cooling, it’s time to have someone take a look.

We’re local, family-owned, and we believe in honest answers, clear communication, and repairs before replacement whenever possible.

Need help getting your AC back up and running?

🚨 It’s not just the daytime highs rising… it’s the overnight LOWS too.

And that matters more than most homeowners realize.

When temperatures stay warm overnight, your AC system doesn’t get much of a break. Instead of cooling your home down after sunset and cycling less often, it may continue running longer into the night just trying to keep up.

That means:
🌡 Longer run times
⚡ Higher energy usage
❄ More strain on your system
🔧 Greater chance of breakdowns during the first real heat wave

Now is one of the BEST times to schedule maintenance before the summer rush really ramps up.

And if another company has recommended an expensive repair or replacement, we’re always happy to provide a 🌹 FREE second opinion 🌹 so you can feel confident in your decision.
