🧱 WHY WE WAIT 30 DAYS TO SEAL YOUR CONCRETE

One question we get often is: “Why don’t you seal the concrete immediately after you pour it?”

The answer is simple: concrete needs time to properly cure.

When we pour a new driveway, patio, sidewalk, or other concrete surface, we allow approximately 30 days before applying sealer whenever project conditions allow.

Here’s why:

✅ Allows the concrete to cure properly
Concrete continues gaining strength and developing its properties well beyond the first few days. Applying certain sealers too early can interfere with the curing process.

💧 Allows excess moisture to leave the slab
Fresh concrete contains a significant amount of moisture. Waiting gives that moisture time to escape before we seal the surface.

🛡️ Better sealer performance
Applying sealer after the concrete has had adequate time to cure helps the sealer bond and perform as intended.

❄️ Added protection against Colorado weather
A quality sealer can help protect the surface from moisture pe*******on, freeze-thaw exposure, deicing chemicals, staining, and everyday wear.

🎨 Helps maintain the appearance
Sealer can enhance the appearance of decorative and colored concrete while helping protect the surface from the elements.

Bottom line: We don’t rush the sealing process. We would rather give your concrete the time it needs to cure properly and then apply the sealer when the surface is ready.

🏡 Another beautiful concrete transformation completed in Centennial, Colorado!

This front walkway and front patio received a London Cobble stamped pattern with Buckskin integral color and Medium Grey release.

The homeowners made an amazing choice with the color and stamp combination. The Buckskin base paired with the Medium Grey release really brings out the detail in the London Cobble pattern and gives the project a high-end, custom look.
