Thank you to all of you who came to our place last Saturday to select some new daylilies for your own gardens! To those of you who agreed to return for your choices next week, thank you, and I will let you know as soon as we get them ready.
Also, thank you to the couple who stopped out later to bring us a delicious dinner! How thoughtful!

This Saturday, July 11, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. we will be giving away some of our daylily seedlings. Choose your favorites, and we will mark them with your name. Then we will try to dig some on the spot, but I hope that any of you local folks could return next week to receive your selections.
While you are here, you are most welcome to wander the other gardens. The daylilies are especially beautiful this year! I think they are liking this hot weather better than we are!

PERENNIAL and DAYLILY plants! Saturday, May 23, 9:00 a.m. at the former Perennial Plant Peddler, 8755 Township Road 251, Findlay 45840. We no longer sell plants; this is a plant give-away. All perennials are potted and named. All daylilies will be named and bagged.
Note: If you have any quart, gallon, or “cheater” gallon pots, we would be glad if you could share. Also, bring trays or cut-down boxes to carry home your treasures since we don’t collect them anymore. We do have plenty of plastic shopping bags.

It is that time of year! It's time to attend to your Helleborus (Lenton Rose) leaves. They lasted all winter under the snow, but now is the time to cut them down before the blooms shoot up. I used to wait till I saw buds, but then I had to cut the stems one at a time! Ugh! Now I try to cut them back in February if I can find a nice enough day. Don't delay. With warm weather coming, the blooms will pop before we know it! HAPPY almost SPRING!

In this new (Winter, 2025) Daylily Journal from the American Daylily Society, there is an article that is especially outstanding! "The Stunning Beauty of Daylilies," by Charlie Harper, includes his photos which he cropped and enlarged to give us a bugs-eye-view of some stunning blooms! Charlie's thoughts and descriptions are truly remarkable. Well done, Charlie!
