A Cracked Driveway Was Only Part of the Problem
This Reno-area homeowner knew their driveway needed to be replaced. Years of cracking, spalling, winter weather damage, and settling had taken a toll.
But once our crew removed the old concrete, we discovered a bigger issue.
The driveway was not draining correctly, and the base material underneath was improperly graded and compacted. Left alone, those conditions could continue contributing to water problems near the garage and shorten the life of a new driveway.
Our team:
✅ Removed the damaged concrete
✅ Regraded the driveway for proper drainage
✅ Installed and compacted a new road base foundation
✅ Added a channel drain to direct water away from the garage
✅ Installed a reinforced rebar grid
✅ Placed fiber-reinforced concrete
✅ Finished the driveway with planned control joints and a durable broom finish
The result is a new concrete driveway built on a properly prepared foundation with drainage designed to help keep water moving away from the garage.
