The success of an addition is often determined by the details you never see. On this primary suite addition, our team worked through complexities of tying new construction into an existing home, from integrating new roof framing with the existing structure to underpinning the original foundation during excavation.

Careful coordination in the drawings allows these challenging conditions to be resolved before construction, creating a seamless transition between existing and new.

We’re thrilled to share that this outdoor fireplace, designed in collaboration with Tutto Interiors, received first place in the Outdoor Fireplace category at the 2026 Detroit Design Awards!

Designed as a destination for gathering and relaxation, this space combines thoughtful architectural detailing with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every element was carefully considered to create an outdoor experience that feels both elevated and effortless.

We put a great deal of intention into every aspect of this project, and we’re honored to have that work recognized. Thank you to our collaborators and to !

Honored to have received first place in the Historic Renovation/Restoration (50 Years or Older) - Commercial Design category at the 2026 Detroit Design Awards for the transformation of The Franklin Grill into The Franklin Oyster Bar & Eatery!

This project was an amazing opportunity to reimagine a beloved community landmark while preserving the character and history that made it such an important part of the Village of Franklin. Swipe to the end to see the building before its transformation.
