What actually happens during a roof inspection?

We get that question a lot, so here is the honest version.

We look at the shingles or panels for wear, lifting, and missing pieces. We check the flashing around chimneys, vents, and valleys, because that is where most leaks start. We look at the soffit and fascia. And we check the attic when we can get to it, since a stain on the plywood tells us more than anything visible from the ground.

Then we tell you what we found. Sometimes the answer is that you have a few good years left, and that is a perfectly good outcome.

Every re-roof we complete comes with one. It is a document that verifies how your roof was built and fastened, and you can submit it to your insurance provider. Depending on your carrier and your policy, it can help lower what you pay.

Today is about the people who work with their hands. The crews who are on a roof before the sun gets high, the folks who load the trucks, the ones who show up in August heat and do the job right anyway.

We have been lucky to work alongside people like that for 25 years.

A re-roof is not new shingles on top of old problems.

Here is what actually happens when we take a roof down to the deck. We pull the old system off, inspect the wood underneath, replace anything soft or damaged, then build back to current Florida code.
