🎄 Quincy would love to see you at Otter Cove's Annual Festival of Lights in Fergus Falls! She worked hard using her drill to make the Christmas trees and was out past dark setting up her display. Don't worry though, she made sure to take a break to make snow angels and taste test the snow. 😉❄️

🎅🏼 This year's kickoff is tomorrow, December 3rd, from 4:30pm - 6:00pm and will feature a visit from Santa, hot cocoa, and a free Peney Cakes cookie for the first 100 children! You can drive through the 40 lighted sponsor displays, bedazzled emergency vehicles, tractors, buses, and even a racecar from December 3rd-13th from 5:00-9:00pm.

All proceeds support Otter Cove Children’s Museum, helping keep play accessible for every child, all year long. We hope to see you there!

This location has been great for AK Builders, but being closer to Fergus Falls will allow Andrew more time with his family. As some of you know, Andrew and his wife Paige welcomed their second child to their family in October of last year. With having two small children it is a priority for them to spend as much time as they can together as a family. The truth about owning a business is that the work doesn't stop at night or on the weekends, so relocating AK Builders closer to their home in rural Fergus Falls will allow them this opportunity.

AK Builders will continue serving those within a 75 mile radius of Fergus Falls.
Also, we are approaching our busiest time of the year. If you're in need of a new building, make sure to call sooner rather than later!

This 24'x40'x12' was a fun build for us! It features a 6’ cover porch, two 4'x3' vinyl windows, two 36” aluminum clad walk doors, and one 16'x10' insulated overhead garage door with an opener. The best part? The Hawaiian blue walls paired with the Charcoal Grey roof, wainscoting and trim.

We don't typically travel too far from our shop, but that doesn't mean we won't! Our team spent some long hours working out of town on this 42'x240'x16' storage complex in Brainerd. As a small business our employees are so important to us. We are thankful to have a great crew of guys who are willing to put in long hours away from their families, friends, and responsibilities at home to get a job done in a timely manner.

This new build features 10 individual units with 24'x42' usable space in each. Each unit also has a 36" walk door for easy access and one 14'x14' insulated overhead garage door. The walls are Charcoal Gray while the roof and trim are Black. The pictures don't do this build justice; it is sharp! The garage doors are being installed this week and then the units will be ready to be put to use.

There's a lot of coordinating and communication that goes into being the General on a project. We started this 5,741 sq. ft. Shouse near Pelican Rapids last fall/winter with the ground rough-in. The project is now coming to an end as the final subcontractors complete their inside work. It's always fun to see each stage of the building process take place, but we know these homeowners are eager to get moved in and enjoy their new build, and we can't blame them!

This post frame building features a Midwest Perma-Column, Inc. foundation, Charcoal Grey walls, Black trim and Garage doors, and a fully finished shop space.

As you can see, there's not only an ample amount of garage space, there's also enough living space to make family living enjoyable. Shouses and Barndominiums are a great option if you're looking for the best of both worlds!

Here's a 26'x32'x10' post frame building we had the opportunity to build near Vegas, MN a few weeks ago. These customers were looking for an additional storage option to help keep their attached garage tidy and clean. A detached building close to their home was the perfect answer and we are glad we were able to make this a reality for them!

This build features a 36' Commercial Grade Thermally Broken walk door, a 16'x8' overhead door with opener, and a 5” concrete slab which was poured after these photos were taken. The roof, trim, and wainscoting are all Burnished Slate while the walls are Bright White.

It’s always a pleasure when a customer requests we return to build them another building. The workmanship we provide is second to none because we know how important it is to do a good job the first time around. We don’t cut corners to save a buck and we use high quality steel because we want our buildings to last our customers a lifetime.

After a fairly wet spring, our summer season is in full swing! We continue to work diligently to provide the best quality services to our customers, and we are thankful that we get to work with some of the best!

This job was a 30'x40'x14' near Pickerel Lake. The two-toned color scheme along with the variety of different size windows make this build a one-of-a-kind. We hope the homeowners find themselves utilizing their new build more than they even imagined!

Are you in need of a building to store all your extra 'stuff'? Well, you're in luck!

We just completed two 36'x54'x16' post frame buildings near Amor, MN! These buildings are centrally located to many of the lakes that Otter Tail County has to offer and would be a perfect location to store your seasonal toys.

These two buildings are identical in size and feature a Black roof, Ash Gray walls, and Black wainscoting. This color combination is sharp and clean! There is 1- walk door on each building and 2- 2'x5' windows on the left-hand side offering natural light into the buildings. Each building also has 1- 12'x12' Insulated Overhead Garage Door.
