🚧Keeping Traffic Moving While Construction Moves Forward!

Replacing a culvert isn't always as simple as closing the road and getting to work!

Since this roadway is the only way in and out for nearby homes and properties, maintaining access throughout construction is essential.

To make this possible, our crew is completing the project in two phases. First, we temporarily widen the road to keep one lane of traffic open while we construct one half of the new culvert. Once that section is complete, we shift traffic to the other side and begin Phase 2 to finish the remaining half.

This approach allows us to replace the culvert while keeping the road accessible to residents throughout the project! 🏗️

Building Accessibility from the Ground Up ♿

Every ADA ramp our crews build is more than just concrete - it's an investment in making our communities safer and more accessible for everyone.

One of the final touches you'll notice is the detectable warning surface - the red panel with raised domes at the bottom of the ramp. It provides a tactile warning for pedestrians who are blind or have low vision, signaling the transition from the sidewalk to the roadway.

From excavation and forming to concrete placement, finishing, and installing the detectable warning surface, our crews take pride in every step of the process. It's quality craftsmanship with a purpose: creating infrastructure that allows everyone to travel safely and independently.

Great work by our team bringing another ADA-compliant curb ramp to the community! 👏
