Another stucco restoration in the books. 👊

This wall had multiple areas of failed and deteriorated stucco that needed to be taken back to a solid substrate before it could be properly rebuilt.

🔨 Removed all loose and compromised stucco
🔨 Exposed and inspected the underlying sheathing
🔨 Re-secured/replaced wire lath where necessary
🔨 Applied a new Type N mortar base/scratch coat
🔨 Rebuilt the repaired areas and matched the existing stucco texture as closely as possible
🔨 Finished everything out for a clean, seamless repair

Stucco repairs aren’t about covering up the damage — they’re about getting back to something solid and rebuilding it correctly.

Another set of steps brought back to life.

We repaired the deteriorated cinder block, completed all necessary stucco repairs, and finished the project by coating the entire staircase with Sherwin-Williams Loxon XP for long-lasting protection and a clean, uniform finish.

🧱 Another set of steps saved instead of replaced.

We removed the brick, demolished the deteriorated block, and properly underpinned the stair structure before rebuilding the damaged areas.

✅ Ground out and repointed all mortar joints with Type N mortar
✅ Sealed the joint where the concrete patio meets the brick using Sikaflex 15LM
✅ Coated all stucco surfaces with Sherwin-Williams LOXON XP for long-term protection and a clean finish.

A couple of bricks are not a perfect match because the original 8” Glen-Gery brick has been discontinued for years. We salvaged as many originals as possible from the garage but ultimately came up a few short.

Sometimes the goal isn’t perfection—it’s preserving the original character while making it structurally sound for years to come.

For 250 years, America has been more than a place on a map. It’s been an idea.

From the signing of the Declaration to putting a man on the Moon. From Ellis Island to Main Street. From rock ‘n’ roll to muscle cars, baseball, blue jeans, backyard barbecues, and technological revolutions, generation after generation has added another chapter to the American story.

We’ve celebrated incredible triumphs, endured painful hardships, and faced moments that tested us as a nation. Through it all, Americans have continued to build, innovate, sacrifice, and dream bigger than the generation before.

Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, opportunity, resilience, and the enduring belief that tomorrow can be better than yesterday.
