I wonna point something out to yall, if you ever have a small mystery leak underneath your bathroom sink, this right here is a possibility. When people wash their hands or shave or even clean the sink and faucet. Water will drip down the stopper rod. You will never know it because it’s not a obvious leak. But this right here is proof, you can see the corrosion and water trail. This is a 33 year old set of faucets. Just wanted to show the different possibilities.

It’s looking like the south is gonna get some harsh winter weather. That being said, I highly advise home owners & tenants to prepare. If you’re on a well pump, make sure it’s insulated with some kind of heat source, could be heat strips or a heat lamp. If you have any plumbing on the exterior walls of your home, leave the faucet on a steady drip, open up the cabinet doors to let some heat within the space.please disconnect the water hose from the hose bibs, if you have frost proof faucets they can still bust. Put a cover on the hose bib for protection. Just minor things you can do to prepare. They can save you a headache of a disaster. Trust me, I’ve seen how bad it can be, if your home is plumbed with copper or cpvc, take extra precautions. I much rather be home playing with my kids than out making repairs that could have been avoided, but I will!! So yall be safe, and if disaster does strike your home, feel free to call plumb good plumbing. 910-425-0693

Had a work order for a leaking stand alone tub, (I did not install). These tubs come with a low quality slinky drain, well it gave way and flooded their bathroom. Once I pulled the tub, I saw how the previous guy installed the drain, definitely not up to my standards, so i cut it out, cut back a little bit of tile and plumbed it my way. No more slinky drain and definitely no more leaks.

I was called out to this home yesterday to unclog the washer drain, while working near the washing machine I kept catching a faint hint of natural gas, so did a quick check and found a gas leak behind the water heater. Told the owner, came back next day for the repair, but I told the owner, if I remove the water heater I’m gonna replace it since it’s in rough condition, and not up to code. They Didn’t wonna spend that kinda money at the moment, so I worked some magic. I Was able to get a whole new 1/2 cc line ran behind the heater. A lot of times, a gas leak near brass or copper fittings will start to turn black, a good indicator of where its leaking from.

Took me awhile, but I finally got the sewer main cleared out and flowing, I knew there was a major issue, so we ran an inspection camera. Behold a wire bored straight through the sewer main. Luckily it’s on pwc’s side of tap, because it’s over 10ft deep and in a paved parking lot. I really didn’t wonna deal with that. But the owner of The hair salon has answers to her situation.

Here’s a couple repairs/replacements we handled today. One, was a 1” broken main shutoff valve & the t & p valve on water heater was discharging, found expansion tank had failed, water logged. I do not install expansion tank horizontally, always vertically. Then 2nd call a water heater replacement but brought up to nc regulations.
